Knowledge for Enablement: the birth of a practice

We are yet to enter the knowledge age.

For 50 years or more, we have increased dramatically the access to data, information, concepts & ideas.
Our challenge going forward is how to help people utilize these effectively.

The word “utilize” is the key word.

‘Utilize’ can mean
(i)     apply knowledge effectively in different contexts & use this data for predictive purposes (AI?)
(ii)    improve the quality of our solutions to the world’s challenges
(iii)   improve the choices we make
(iv)   improve the quality of our thinking
(v)    transform the purposes of what we do
(vi)   transform ourselves as human beings

“Knowledge for Enablement” is the practice of utilization of knowledge, with multiple depths of impact.

In our view, the knowledge revolution is yet to begin.

Once people cross ‘access’ to knowledge, & begin climbing up higher & higher up this ladder in greater & greater numbers – we will begin transforming from an “internet-based society” (easy access), to a “knowledge-based society” (transformed quality of thinking, human purposes, & human beings themselves).

This implies a slightly different view of the prognosis for the human race:
From seeing the world transforming human beings to humanoids/ digitally enabled-entities; we instead see the world as transforming into a more human, a deeper & more thoughtful world which truly benefits from the knowledge it already possesses.
